Welcome to Ariel Murray's Spooktacular Yoga Blog!

A spooky gift to all whom seek it on this special and wild October... with yoga videos, cosmic inspiration, and prizes! This month has been quite intense, edgy, and emotional as we move through scorpio season, which happens to have two full October moons! The harvest and hunter moon illuminate active energy for preparation of returning to stillness in the winter time. As the energy runs a bit on the wild side, it is a wonderful balance to loosen up with friends and family, or on your own with yoga. Enjoy fun spooky yoga with Ariel if you dare...all levels invited to share a festive practice.

This year has been so crazy it's only fitting that there are two full moons ( Harvest and Hunters moon) at the exact beginning and end of the month. It's already rare to have two full moons in one month, but a full moon on halloween night hasn't happened in decades! 76 years to be exact! Hence where the term "once in a blue moon" stems from and why we are having a BLUE hunters moon on October 31st, 2020.


The moon cycles have been symbolic to Native Americans for centuries and mark the seasons to hunt or gather in leu of winter. Seeing as we now live in 2020 with most people that do not have to hunt their own food or even eat meat at all, the symbolism can support the idea of using this time to hunt after your dreams and preserve your life's mission. Illuminate the now darker night as we transition into the autumnal equinox (daylight savings) with passion, drive, and ambition to fulfill the soul's deepest desires! Here are some tips to keep loving awareness even in seemingly permanent and intense times...


  • GRATITUDE! Being grateful for all the obstacles, changes, and blessings only help to create more abundance + space as we move through this dance called life. Practicing gratitude takes all but a couple of seconds to just say out loud what you are grateful for and maybe even write it down to remind yourself in the future!


  • DANCE! Movement of any fashion that can get your fingers twirlin', feet stomping, and hips movin' is a great release for pent up energy that has accumulated and is no longer needed. A great cure for anger or sadness from being too stagnant. Move that body and shake your bones! Dance like somebody or nobody is watching...who cares!


  • TREAT YO SELF! No matter what has been occurring in your life, it is always important to make sure you have time for self care. Stretch, take bubble baths, eat chocolate, pamper yourself, be in nature, do art, or anything that is your favorite! You may even discover creative new ways to relax and express yourself!
